Karnataka MBBS/BDS Admission 2023 : The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), Bangalore will conduct the Karnataka NEET counselling 2023 at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. A link to participate in the Karnataka NEET 2023 counselling will be provided here, after availability.
The authority will conduct the Karnataka MBBS counselling 2023 for 85% state quota and 100% private colleges seats based on the NEET UG scores. Candidates who qualify the NEET UG examination, can fill the Karnataka MBBS 2023 application form and fulfill the eligibility criteria will be able to participate in the counselling process. The authority will release the Karnataka NEET merit list 2023 mentioning the names of the eligible candidates after document Verification.

Karnataka MBBS 2023 counselling criteria
The authority will conduct Karnataka MBBS/BDS 2023 counselling for 85% state quota. Candidates can check the criteria of Karnataka NEET counselling 2023 from the below table.

Karnataka Domicile Eligibility Criteria
- Domicile: To apply for admission to Karnataka MBBS 2023, candidates must belong to Karnataka domicile. Candidates who do not belong to the state can apply for open and other quota seats in private colleges. Candidates can apply for the Karnataka MBBS 2023 admission to government seats under the following criteria:
- Candidates who have studied for a minimum seven years from a government or government recognized institution in Karnataka are eligible.
- Candidates who have passed class 11 and 12 from Karnataka and whose parents have studied for seven years in Karnataka are eligible.
- Candidates and either parent having Kannada, Tulu, or Kodava as mother tongue are eligible. Such candidates will have to undergo a Kannada language test.
- Son/daughter of defence personnel who have passed class 11 and 12 from Karnataka are eligible.
Karnataka MBBS/BDS counselling 2023 Process
Given below is the step by step process of Karnataka NEET 2023 counselling.
- Registration: Applicants will have to register for Karnataka MBBS 2023 admission by filling their personal details and email address for communication purposes.
- Login: Application ID and password will be sent to candidates’ registered email and mobile number. Registered candidates will then have to login using the credentials.
- Filling Karnataka NEET application form: Candidates will have to fill their personal, category, address, class 10 and 12, and NEET 2023 details.
- Upload documents: Once all the details are entered, candidates will have to upload the scanned images of coloured passport size photograph, signature, and left hand thumb impression. It must be noted that all documents should be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format.
- Payment of application fee: For submitting the application form, candidates will have to pay the prescribed application fee of Karnataka MBBS application form 2023. The application fee must be paid via credit/debit card/net banking/bank challan.
- Taking printout of Karnataka MBBS 2023 application form: Candidates must save the filled application form and take two-three printouts for the future use.

Step 2: Karnataka MBBS/BDS counselling: Choice filling
- To choose a college, medical aspirants will have to enter the priority number in front of that choice.
- Candidates can fill as many choices for Karnataka MBBS/BDS counselling.
- It must be noted that the choices filled before the round one counselling of Karnataka MBBS 2023 will be final and used for subsequent counselling rounds.
- Candidates who have registered but not filled the choices will not be considered for Karnataka MBBS admission 2023.
Karnataka MBBS admission 2023: Document verification
Once the application form is submitted, candidates will have to upload their documents for verification. Aspirants can check the steps of document verification given below.
Steps for document verification
- Login by entering the application ID and password.
- Upload the documents required for Karnataka MBBS/BDS admission in PDF format.
- Verify the uploaded documents and make changes if required
- An OTP will be received on registered mobile and email ID. Enter the OTP to submit the declaration.
- After successful submission of documents, an acknowledgement slip will be generated. Save and take multiple printouts of the acknowledgement slip for future use. .
Candidates must note that the verification acknowledgement slip is an important document for Karnataka MBBS admission 2023. In the verification slip the details of the candidate, list of documents verified for Karnataka MBBS/BDS admission, category details, merit rank, and the security key are mentioned.
Before proceeding further, candidates should verify all the details mentioned in the acknowledgement slip and if any discrepancy is found, it should be immediately reported to the authority. The security key mentioned in the verification slip will be required by candidates during Karnataka NEET 2023 counselling. Thus, candidates must not share the security key with anyone.

Karnataka MBBS merit list 2023
KEA will publish the Karnataka MBBS 2023 merit list at their official website based on the NEET scores. Only those candidates will be included in the Karnataka MBBS 2023 merit list whose applications will be accepted. KEA will first release the provisional Karnataka MBBS/BDS merit list 2023 followed by the final merit list. The Karnataka NEET 2023 merit list will mention candidate details, NEET roll no, score, and All India Rank.
Karnataka MBBS/BDS counselling: Choice filling

Karnataka NEET 2023 admission: Seat allotment
The authority will conduct the Karnataka MBBS seat allotment based on the choices filled by candidates, reservation criteria, seat matrix, and NEET 2023 rank and score. The list will mention the details of candidate, NEET score, and allotted college and course. Once the seat is allotted, candidates will have to choose any of the following options based on their status.
Choice 1: Candidates satisfied with allotted seats and not willing to participate in further rounds of counselling.
Choice 2: Candidates satisfied with the allotted MBBS/BDS seat but willing to participate in the next round of Karnataka NEET 2023 counselling.
Choice 3: Candidates not satisfied with the seat allotted in Karnataka MBBS counselling 2023 and willing to participate in the next round of seat allotment.
Choice 4: Candidates not satisfied with the seat allotted and also not willing to participate further in the Karnataka MBBS/BDS 2023 counselling.
Fee payment and admission order
- Candidates opting for choice 1 will have to pay the tuition fee via e-challan/NEFT/IMPS/RTGSchallan/credit/debit card/net banking.
- After the successful fee payment candidates will have to submit their original documents to the state authority and download the admission order from the official website for Karnataka MBBS 2023 admission.
- Candidates opting for choice 2 will have to pay the tuition fee using any of the above mentioned modes, however, will not be able to download the admission order.
- Medical aspirants opting for choice 3 will not have to pay the admission fee or submit documents. They can directly participate in the next round of Karnataka MBBS 2023 counselling.
Reporting to the allotted college for Karnataka NEET admission
Students who will be allotted MBBS/BDS seats in the Karnataka MBBS seat allotment process and will choose option 1 will have to report to the allotted institute within the time duration. Such candidates will have to pay the tuition fee and download the admission order from the KEA website. While reporting candidates must carry the admission order and other important documents to avoid any inconvenience.
Karnataka MBBS counselling 2023: Process after round 1
After the conclusion of round 1, authorities will conduct the Karnataka MBBS/BDS counselling for the second round. The process of counselling of Karnataka NEET 2023 round 2 will be the same as the previous round. The candidates who will be eligible for round 2 counselling of Karnataka NEET 2023 are given below.
- Candidates opting for choice 2 will be eligible for the second round of Karnataka NEET 2023 counselling
- Medical aspirants opting for choice 3 can participate in the round two of Karnataka MBBS counselling 2023
- Students not allotted any seat during round one of Karnataka MBBS/BDS counselling are eligible to participate in the second round of admission.
